Camp Boomer 2018 is happening here at CFB Comox on Saturday, June 16th.  A one day Walk/Run &/or Bike Relay event, in which you can do one lap, or anything between that and going hard for 6 hours.  Please check out the website http://boomerslegacy.ca, register, join my team “Founder’s Team”, create your own team or just come out for the day.
We are teaming up with the Vancouver Island Compassion Dogs.  Boomer’s Legacy has donated funds to them and we support them totally.  Check out their website – http://vicompassiondogs.ca.  For those of you who look for that bigger challenge, they are doing a Mountain Bike Ride from Port Alberni to CFB Comox – cyclists will end at Camp Boomer 4ish that day.   So in all a great time to be held and an opportunity to support and learn about our military.

Take in the military displays, a Kid’s Boot Camp, 11 Field Ambulance with their Field Hospital, Naden Brass Band, special talks from Trevor Greene about how he has truly Marched Fourth after being axed in the head on March 4, 2006 and Capt (ret’d) Dale Erhart who flew a WW1 Nieuport plane over Vimy Ridge for the 100th Anniversary, with a Boomer’s Legacy logo on his plane and a pic of Andrew in the cockpit, Barb Ashmead will talk about VICD and there will be Veterans with their service dogs and so much more.  I really hope that you will join us on the 16th.  Let’s keep putting smiles on the faces of our military members when we help them help others – either at home or abroad.
